For six years running, we’ve been rated a five-star homebuilder in the Home Builders Federation’s annual survey of homeowners. That means more than 90% of our customers are extremely happy with their home and the William Davis experience. We’re compliant with the Consumer Code for Home Builders. You can read more about the Consumer Code but essentially, it’s a code of conduct that ensures the home buying process is always fair and transparent for our buyers. Success through apprenticeships
Our highly successful apprenticeship programme has gained national recognition for delivering exceptional apprentices. Our traditional training programme gives the opportunity to ‘earn and learn’ whilst gaining a professional qualification and establishing a life-long career. Each year we work in close partnership with the CITB and local colleges to recruit both craft and technical apprentices who will train alongside our highly experienced and dedicated mentors.

The quality of our building, landscaping, designs, and customer service have all received national and regional awards. Our site managers have also won numerous NHBC Pride in the Job awards for their site management, leadership, and technical expertise.
Sustainability: Local materials, employment & skills
By sourcing materials and labour locally, we invest in and support local business whilst reducing our carbon footprint. 68% of materials along with 53% of subcontractors, with a total of 87% coming from the East Midlands area. We network and engage with other local industries, partnering with Leicester-based SGP Architects for 25 years who have been designing sites and house types.
Sustainable crafts, skills and trades are a key focus for us as a company, as is nurturing young talent so there’s a constant pipeline of skilled bricklayers, plumbers and electricians to build tomorrow’s new homes. That’s why we work closely with councils, the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), employment organisations, schools, colleges, sub-contractors and suppliers to engage young people and the local community during construction.
